Swedish Modules to supply a temporary extension for the University Hospital in Linköping

Swedish Modules has received an order from Miljöbyggarna to provide a temporary extension solution for the University Hospital in Linköping in March 2020.

The project involves the delivery of a turnkey pathology department that is to be connected to an existing building at the hospital. In total, the project comprises three modules, which are adapted to meet the hospital’s requirements in terms of layout and function. The project will commence in December at the factory in Emtunga and delivery will be made to the University Hospital in March 2020. The Östergötland region has been granted a temporary building permit lasting five years for the project.

Swedish Modules is proud to deliver new premises to the pathology unit at the hospital. The path from initial idea to finished article is a great example of how good collaboration between the entrepreneur, regional authority, users and consultants can give rise to a good overall solution. We are now entering the production phase and I look forward to summarizing the successful achievements and the experience that has been gained when the project is completed in about four months. Looking to the future, I hope this project can help other hospitals and regions resolve bottlenecks and find a viable path in their projects in terms of the timetable and budget.
