Our history
MedicSolution Nordic AB stems from Emtunga Mekaniska Verkstad, which was founded in 1945. Successful businesses have developed from this strong industrial tradition.
Our modern history started in 1974. During the company’s first decade of operation we primarily manufactured housing modules for the developing offshore industry. We delivered our first pharmaceutical modules in 1986. Since then, we’ve taken part in over 100 projects all over the world, always striving to match the high standards of quality demanded by our customers.
In order to focus and grow the business towards hospitals and science, the brand of Swedish Modules, including production plant staff, lease agreements for premises and the DataCenter and Power business areas, was sold to KeyPlants in the autumn of 2021. In this connection, the name also changed to MedicSolution Nordic AB.
The former business area Medical remains as the foundation of MedicSolution. The knowledge and many years of experience of producing highly complex prefabricated modular constructions, will remain within the company and with our close partner and our former colleagues who run the production plant, Swedish Modules KeyPlants AB.
The production plant is still situated where the business began, in Emtunga, and our modules are still produced here. Our head office is located in Vara and we have a sales office in Stockholm.
