New premises gives a boost to the Pathology Department at the University Hospital in Linköping

In the spring of 2020, Swedish Modules delivered new prefabricated premises to the Pathology Department at the University Hospital in Linköping. The old premises were not dimensioned for the current number of patients and maximized capacity created a deficient work environment and challenges with ventilation.

In the brand new premises, the employees now have a better working environment and in addition, the premises have created opportunities to use the staff’s skills in a more efficient way. The building is highly demanding in terms of ventilation and working environment, and the facility is built in an economical, safe and environmentally sustainable way.

“The path from initial concept to finished building is a great example of how good collaboration between the contractor, regional authority, users and consultants can produce a good overall solution. In the long term, I hope this project can help other hospitals and regions to find a way forward in their projects, including from a premises-supply perspective.”
