Construction Begins for Forth

MedicSolution is now taking the next step in its assignment at Hässleholm Hospital. In collaboration with Skanska, MedicSolution was commissioned to deliver six modular-wall operating theatres for the orthopaedic project Forth – a high-profile initiative that has now reached a key milestone and is approaching the start of construction.

In early October, construction of the structural walls will begin, marking the launch of the physical building phase. The work is scheduled to continue throughout the autumn and winter, with completion targeted for January 2026. The planning process has been carried out in close collaboration with all involved parties and is now ready to enter the next phase.

This is a project of high profile and great significance – both for MedicSolution as a supplier and for the future of orthopaedics in Region Skåne. For MedicSolution, it also serves as important proof of our ability to deliver high-quality room-in-room solutions within existing buildings, where flexibility and precision are crucial.

“This project is strategically very important to us. With the Forth project, we are demonstrating our capability to deliver high-quality modular wall solutions for permanent healthcare environments. We are pleased with the excellent collaboration with Skanska and proud that they chose us as their partner for this project,” says Jens Sjödahl, CEO of MedicSolution.

The assignment includes the delivery of six operating theatres along with associated sterile set-up rooms, preparation rooms, and corridors for surgical scrubbing. Everything is built using MedicSolution’s proven modular wall system, which not only meets the high demands of the healthcare sector – but also enables future adaptations.

“Our modular wall solution gives the hospital increased flexibility over time. It becomes easier to adapt the rooms to new needs, thanks to the interchangeable wall sections. But it also demands a high level of precision, so it’s absolutely essential that we are involved early in the process – which we have been in this case,” says Kenneth Helgesson, CTO and Project Manager at MedicSolution.

The Forth project is yet another example of how MedicSolution contributes to the healthcare infrastructure of the future by combining innovative construction methods with strong technical expertise and close customer dialogue.
