Modules Relocated to Uddevalla

MedicSolution is proud of the trust shown by the Västra Götaland Region in assigning the company full responsibility for the turnkey relocation of healthcare modules from NÄL to Uddevalla Hospital. It is an assignment that combines sustainability, logistics, and technical expertise. The modular building consists of 52 modules in total, of which 44 will be relocated to Uddevalla Hospital, with completion scheduled for March 2026.

The reuse of modules is a clear example of circular construction in practice. By reusing and refining existing assets, the project reduces its environmental footprint while strengthening a more sustainable healthcare infrastructure. Work begins immediately, as the schedule is ambitious.

“We see it as fully achievable to meet the expected timeline. Our guiding principle is to never miss a deadline, and that is a principle we stand firmly by. With a clear organization and experienced key personnel, we ensure quality at every stage, from planning to project handover. Our strength lies in being able to manage everything from straightforward assignments to complex turnkey solutions, always with a focus on collaboration, responsibility, and delivery reliability. A big thank you to the Västra Götaland Region for entrusting us with this important relocation, and we look forward to a successful partnership,” says Kenneth Helgesson, CTO & Head of Project, MedicSolution Nordic AB.

The four operating rooms have been stationed at NÄL since 2021 when the hospital began renovating its existing OR facilities. With the renovation now complete, the modular ORs will serve a greater purpose at Uddevalla Hospital. This relocation, led by MedicSolution, aligns fully with the company’s way of working.

“This project clearly demonstrates how we can combine sustainability with delivery precision. Taking over and further developing an existing solution requires both experience and flexibility, qualities our team has consistently demonstrated. We look forward to delivering yet another world-class project,” says Jens Sjödahl, CEO, MedicSolution Nordic AB.
